Butterbean Festival was a huge success!

The 2012 edition of the Alabama Butterbean Festival is in the books as a huge success. We thought the date change would effect the attendance this year but apparently it was the right choice. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office estimated over 35,000 in attendance and that would be the largest crowd to date. Most all of the vendors enjoyed bigger sales, the crowd stayed longer since the temperatures were absolutely perfect, and the fireworks display on Friday night was absolutely spectacular!. If you missed this year then make sure you don’t miss it next year, it will be bigger than ever.

Speednetworking Breakfast Event

The Clay-Pinson Chamber of Commerce will partner with the Center Point Chamber and the Trussville Chamber to present our first “Speednetworking Breakfast.” If you haven’t been to one, here’s how it works: everybody will have one minute to go around their table and introduce themselves, tell the company they work for, and something about themselves. After about 8 minutes and everybody has had a turn, a timer will indicate that it’s time to switch to another table and start over. It’s a great way to network!

The breakfast will be on Thursday, September 27, at the Grayson Valley Country Club. A buffet breakfast will begin at 7 a.m., and networking will begin at approximately 7:45. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards!

The breakfast is sponsored by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, America’s First Federal Credit Union, and Carroll Pharmacy in Trussville and Clay.
